This was a delicious bottle of Chablis where time had allowed the terroir to shine above the house style. The colour was correct for age with some gold and a classic nose of apples, lemon barley, hay and limestone. The palate had lovely complex fruit with excellent grip and drive with a gripping mineral laden finish. In all quite classic aged 1er Cru Chablis.

Bright gold color. Powdered stones, lemon, under ripe pineapple in the nose. Somewhat creamy, lemon pie flavors in the mouth with a little oak noticeable towards the finish. Pretty good overall, B/B+.

Very aromatic nose. Lots of fruit-apples, pears, apricots. Palate is unexpectedly minerally in character..no fruit. Despite this disconnection between nose and palate, an enjoyable wine. This was great with food...and continued to be nice after the meal ended.

Lasted about 30 minutes before the color changed and the flavor turned for the worse.
