  • Very similar to my last note....maybe a little more of a buttered popcornness to this one. Holding up very well, with no signs of fading. When it comes to Calif. Rhones....Alban, along with SQN, are as complex as it gets.

  • Starts out with a little Alban funk...tar, petrol, match strike. Not what you'd expect from Viognier...but you would if you were drinkin an Alban! Very exotic, creamy, yet still alive with pineapple acidity. Wonderful melon, white peach, fig fruit....with smoky honey butter, hazelnut, mineral stone, dried pineapple spice, vanilla oak. Not as floral as others, a little more "funk" in this one.....drinks more like the Roussanne. This wine is classic Alban White Rhone. Not necessarily Viognier correct, but tasty! Reminds me a LOT of SQN whites as well. LOVE IT!!!!
