Last of 6, opened 45 minutes, perfect level, travel third up cork, more to it than last May's bottle, oily weight of vintage, but could use more minerality and cut for better than F+ (18), bags of life and no POX, presents more like Batard than Chevalier!

5th of 6, opened 20 minutes, perfect cork and level, little changed from 2/17 bottle, nice lemon cut offsetting weight and oily quality of vintage, just a bit too clumsy for better than F+ (18).

4th of 6, pnp, perfect cork and level, consistent with previous notes, faintest hint of POX, a bit lumpy, the weight of a grand cru and of vintage if without the zip and minerality usual in Chevalier. F+ (18).

Served after a 2008 Jadot Chevalier Montrachet. By contrast this was much more refined, almost boring, except it wasn't. Very fine juice with great depth, and seriousness. In a good drink window right now, though should hold here for several more years.

3rd of 6, opened 40 minutes, perfect cork and level - as July note, just fractionally OTT for Chevalier, my sense is that with time it will slim down and become more precise whilst maintaining weight. The risk is that oxidisation will strike before this happens. Currently fine plus (18/20).
