Color: glass-staining purple; black as midnight core - totally opaque -> deep/dark/dense fuchsia-tinged rim. Let develop over 90 minutes before writing this note. Packed, dense, dark fruit bouquet; plums and blackberries foremost. Charcoal and tobacco with a pronounced floral perfume. Stacked and packed but quite lovely; needs time to develop even more. Palate doubling down on the nose; massive wine but with complexity. Big boy stuff indeed! Plump, long and a bit hot on the finish, this needs more time before it's ready for the catwalk -- though it is smooth and surprisingly drinkable now. To my mind, very reminiscent of Booker in style. 93 with upside.

Color is rich and dark. Nose of blueberries and smoked wood. Palate of dark ripe berries. Hint of mint and spice.. Paired with Iberico cheese and then NY strip with Argentinian spices, and grilled zucchini. Cheese increased the fruit, and the weight of the wine and steak were very complimentary, and brought out a little pepper. Very smooth tannins just flowed over the tongue without impediment and very balanced. Opened this before the meal and it was wonderful on its own.
