Impressively fresh nose. Clean orchard fruit and melon flavour, somewhat exotic. Rich, with just enough acid. Very long, and a treat. long after most 2003 whites have died, this remains beautiful.

RSV night at Nicolas. Only white of the evening and such a lovely wine. Yellow gold. This took quite some time to open up, but when it did, it was such an amazing representation and example of a top top Montrachet. Rich, buttery, ripe and so intense on the nose, with white peaches, Thai mangoes, butterscotch and melted butter. Wonderful complexity and layers on the palate, with ripe yellow fruit, roasted corn, buttermilk with a tremendous balance of acidity, intensity, power and elegance. There was just so much going on with this wine, but it really did need a full 2.5 hours to fully show itself. Superb!

Mineral and smoke on the nose. Wonderful color. Hints of pear but finishes with sexy creamy coconut elements. Very nice long finish. This threw me for a well done New World Chard.

Zachys BYO Montrachet & Musigny Lunch in Burgundy (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Small glass, brief note. Extremely ripe, still nicely fresh. Great success for the vintage.
