Bought this on a fantastic winery visit, but alas the winery was sold not long afterward. The Von Strasser style leans a little more toward Bordeaux than hedonistic Napa. It's rich in fruit, but not a big fruit / ABV bomb. Consumed the first bottle, NYE 2020 with beef tenderloin and it was fantastic. A happy place wine, I'd take this over a lot of more expensive Napa cabs. This wine is right in it's drinking window.

- Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of cherry, tea, dusty and cedar. It's balanced and has flavours of black pepper, tobacco, cherry and chocolate with a full body. Round texture with a long finish - Decanted two hours. Great fruit. Spicy, tannic finish. This wine can continue to age in the cellar.

Smelled good and red fruited going into the decanter but I wish this was better. Tastes like cherry cough drops and pickles. High acid which I don’t mind but a dry and mercifully short finish.

What a nice surprise, this wine it nicely balanced, soft with a fair finish. I have not found this info but I believe it’s around 95% Cabernet and 5 Petit Verdot. If anyone knows the composition please drop me a comment...
