Found this in Spain. This is really darker brown and oxidative but still quite enjoyable. Nevertheless I feel this is much too far advanced. Not trusting this is where this bottle should be.

The cork was dry and fell apart while I was opening the bottle. Not a good sign. Nice clarity, golden yellow with fine consistency in the glass. Tertiary aromas dominate, especially caramel, dried fruit and flowers. Past its prime! Perfectly balanced on the palate with distinctive hints of oak aging in the afterfinish. Smooth and juicy, almost oily, it reveals the premium German, trocken riesling from the red slate. Unfortunately, a bad cork caused a premature deterioration of this beautifil wine. 90/100

Took about three hours to open up. Lychee, guava, starfruit, acid, red slate. The RS shines through early on, but with time, the acid kicks in and balances things out. Great stuff here.
