Pale greenish yellow color. Generous flowers, oyster shell and fresh citrus pith on the nose. Balanced salinity, mineral, fruit with a whisper of vanilla on the palate. The taste lingers on the palate, reminding one sort of the way the Clos lingers, but obviously not unending. Quite a good showing. This is the way a Mont Mains should taste. Excellent.

Cork was completely soaked through to the point I thought it might be leaking a little. The wine, fortunately, was in great shape. In a great spot - youthful and fresh on one hand, and showing some signs of maturity (honey, etc.) on the other hand. Excellent.

Wow, just singing, gorgeous "middle aged" Raveneau. Opened and decanted for two hours, poured back into bottle. Color just starting to darken a tad to medium gold. Fresh nose of wet slate, candied lime, orange blossom and minerally goodness. Just ethereal on the palate, waves of seashell/sweet citrus flavors with a hint of that truffle element swirling in and out.

Stunning, mineral, nose. Slightly less focussed on the palate, just slightly disjointed finish. Worth it for the perfect, Chablis-extra, nose..

Just holding on. Very mature notes - golden fruit, slightly awkward finish. Ok but nothing special. (85)
