Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 88 points

  • Amber/brown color. Cooked peach, white raisin, and caramel (typical overall). Waxy, moderate/low acidity, smooth texture. Medium to short finish. No much to say. Clean but a bit too neutral to balance the sweetness (I don’t see acidic backbone other taster commented). I had no clue as to why this is rated so high - blended inexpensive Cream sherry can be way more interesting than this. Maybe past its prime?

  • At the pinot offline at the Union League in New Haven. Honey/amber color. Citrus/grapefruit on the nose and palate. The acid is high, but very well integrated. Wonderfully long finish. Perhaps just a bit hot, otherwise it would have merited an even higher score. A great experience as I had never heard of this wine.
