  • 13.5% - clear, pale garnet with an orange hue/ clean, med intensity - black cherry, smoky, a bit animal / dry, med acidity, med body, med- round tannin, good balance, med intensity, med length. This is ready to drink - the fruit is pretty shy but this is very pleasant as a few layers unfold. Good Q/P and would like to taste a more recent vintage to compare...

  • More enjoyable than I was expecting at this price point; fruit & light pinot quality came out and made a nice complement to stuffed pork from Whole Foods... would buy again as an everyday value pinot.

  • I'm just getting into New Zealand pinots and this is just why there is all the hype with these pinots that are priced in the low 10s. Very balanced and fun. It has an interesting glass look to the wine. Nice colour.

  • This is an excellent New Zealand pinot noir that should be drunk, in my opinion, over the next 2 or 3 years if properly cellared. It has a wonderful bouquet of dark fruit (currants, some plum and cherry) along with interesting spices- including a hint of clove and white pepper. The wine tastes as good as it smells with a palatte of fruit, spices, fine tannins and an elegant finish. Like many excellent pinots, this wine is a great wine with food.
