After opening the first of what turned out to be two because the first was skunked, aging hasn’t done much for this. However upon opening was garnet colored, plum and blueberries came to the nose, with hints of tobacco and menthol, somewhat hot mid palate, medium tannins and low acidity. Fruit sided taste has faded naturally. Ended with light minerality and a hint of licorice but missing depth I’d noted 5 years ago. Perhaps now a mid-rated Springer Mountain example.

This 2009 Cabernet is still dark to the rim, no bricking. Nose is full of dark fruits and vanilla. Drinking this dark colored Cab, tastes of blueberry and dark plums. Fulfilling and enjoyable, the wine faded at about 3 hours. This is 3rd bottle in last year- all very consistent. One bottle left, will drink soon.

Lovely bottle and drinking beautifully right now. Sadly, I only have one left! Dark inky crimson in color. Lovely nose of blackberry and plum with long legs. Well balanced and integrated tannins, medium finish. A Cameron Hughes home run!

Ruby to the rim w long legs, opened w big dark fruit and hints of tobacco and menthol. Front palette was less mouth feel than expected but w medium tannins and low acidity as the currant, early blackberry was complemented with light minerality and a hint of licorice. Nice. Another reason I buy Cam's products.
