Roasted plum, coffee, blackberry flavors are backed by mocha, velvety plush tannins, and lingering acidity. Comes up a little short on length, but still a very good wine.

91% Merlot, 9% CS. A bit tight with alcohol heat upon first opening; fruit flavors developed nicely over the course of a 90 minute "consume while decanted'. Lots of dark fruit flavors, medium finish, medium tannins in a medium long finish. A good expression of Merlot, just nothing to distinguish it from all the other good Merlot out there. At least it wasn't thin and boring.

I agree with the other comments. I will add that it did open up and develop a little bit over the time we drank it. This was a good Merlot, better than average for me, but I dont drink a lot of Merlot...for a reason.

We drank this on Christmas Day -- ditto on the average-ness observations of the other trackers. It was good, but certainly nothing special. I expect more from Silverado.

I'm giving this a 79. It truly is an average Merlot. Not something I would buy again.
PS: I find it funny that everyone is calling it average, and yet giving it a rating of 82-85, which is above Average...
