Pale, cloudy rose color. Nose somewhere between a pharmacy and a garage filled with paint, with some raspberry aromas peeking through. On the palate, this is simply bizarre, and not in an interesting way, but in a horribly offputting and not at all pleasant way. Earth, rotting berries, and some savory notes. Strangely spritzy. Vile.

There's very little here to provide pleasure. Some sour raspberry fruit, earthy funk, and strange oxidative notes on the nose, and it's astringent and disjointed on the palate with the acidity creating a spritzy sensation. Yuck.

Cloudy medium-light ruby, band-aids on the nose, a persistent light spritz, and I'm assured that this is what the wine SHOULD taste like!?!?! There seems to be the stuffing for a simple quaffer behind the faults, but...
Note: this wine is a 70-75 at best but, because of CT's silly algorithm for choosing between mean and median, the reported score is lower when I record an 85 than a 75. CT, do you even math?

The colour is very light and orange, and quite cloudy. Initially some very funky bathroom aromas, that thankfully disappeared. What remained on the nose, however, was a bit of funk, combined with some meat and red berries. Light and acidic on the palate, with earth and some barely ripe red berries. A rustic and very interesting wine to drink in big gulps with food.

Jurafest 2012, Day 3 (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): Really nice balanced funk on the nose. Some really meaty mushrooms, mixed with dried pine needles and only mild sweet fruits. Exhuberant fruits on the palate, with a nice scabby band-aid (mmm delicious), mixed with nice light cherry fruit. The finish has an eruption of fruit at first, trailing into acid and funk. Lots of funk, with a bacterial notion taking over that's off-putting. Interesting wine, at least.
