Medium-bright yellow color. Sweet aromas of pear, lemon, some marzipan notes, and nutmeg. Palate has spiced pear and apple with lemon curd into a medium-long finish. This particular bottle showed great balance of fresh fruit and developed characters without exhibiting the heat of the vintage showing through. Good showing. Drink or hold a bit more.

Medium-bright yellow color. Lemon and vanilla on the nose. Nutmeg, lemon, apple, and yellow plum on the palate. Shows a bit of sharpness on the medium finish from either alcohol or oak. Holding well and consistently a good wine. Drink or hold.

DRC Tasting Group (Wild Ginger, Seattle, WA): Tasted blind. Nose is subtle: pineapple and floral notes. Round and big on the body, with noticeable oak (a touch of butter). Soft, round tannins lead into a medium length finish with medium acidity.

Bright yellow-gold color. Aromas of nutmeg, vanilla, pear, yellow apple, and lemon. Palate shows orchard fruit and citrus with rich floral vanilla and nutmeg accents that carry into a medium-long finish. This wears its alcohol better than the 2009 Arthur, but it's still a evident after a glass or two. Enjoyable, super if you don't mind the alcohol. No hurry. Drink or hold.
