From our cellar, stored since release. Overall, extraordinary but not perfect. Huge nose of eucalyptus and dark fruit. Deep dark color, almost black with long legs. Full bodied but smooth as silk. Immense layered flavors of licorice, mint, berries, plum, spices, eucalyptus and touch of oak. Lovely on it's own and with Australian lamb. Nice long finish. It's not perfect because at times the alcohol is a bit noticeable at times and thus can be distracting. That said this wine is drinking extremely well right now despite that one flaw.

Wow, still very deep in color with incredibly rich, concentrated fruit in the nose and flavor. Lots of black fruits, licorice, and complexity. A well balanced wine which did not reveal it's true alcohol level. Full bodied and a long finish. If you like big Australian Shiraz, especially from the early part of this century, you will like this a lot... I certainly did!

A bit jammy for my taste; maybe New World fruit forward and glycerol, which somewhat overwhelms the nimbleness I prefer in a fine syrah/shiraz. But a very nice wine for one seeking a little heavier style.

Old note. Aromatically incredible. Toasted oak, red fruit central, jammy (so polarizing). Staying power w/a great finish. High glycerin. Coats your tongue. Even though, it has great depth. I get raspberries big time. Black as night with a tinge of purple. Late harvested? No joke!

Deep inky ruby out of the bottle with very rich fruit. Big and bold in the Aussie style.
