Liked this and thought it had come on well from a bottle tried a year or so ago. Still energetic and with nice fruit but the tannic load suggests to me it might get better. Will drink a few of these over the next year or so and decide how long to keep the remainder. 3.5+

Drunk over two days. I actually thought it showed better on day two. Sour cherries and hints of forest floor on the palate. Silky smooth, well balanced wine. Reasonable length. A very respectable village Volnay. I enjoyed it.

This has classic red cherry and florals with a touch of fresh cut herbs. Silky, supple red fruits are a pleasure from start to finish. Classic, perfectly balanced and still in an early zone.

A very pretty wine. The nose builds over the course of an hour and is quite delicate, showing lovely red fruit, dried flowers and stone. It's not super complex, and not terribly articulate, but it's very lovely and enticing. The palate is more dense that the nose suggests, and is almost lush at times, with layers of clean fruit and finishing with a savory minerality. After an hour the nose becomes more about dried leaves than about fruit. For the fruit, I would enjoy soon. But there's plenty of wine here to hold.

Decent, but I think the structure here has outlasted the fruit a bit. The 2010 Chenes and Ducs are insane so maybe the village fruit didn't quite have enough concentration to last.
