  • After the premoxed Chassagne it was time to purge the cellar: Aromatics of candied white fruit and touch of honey, very dry and put on a lot of fat with about 15 minutes of air. Marzipan and a mineral laden Riesling like aromatic than join in. the flavor is rather delicate but the finish is fairly long with a lemony tartness. The more I sip on this the more enjoyable it becomes yet i suspect this is at the end of it's drinking window. Thankfully our last bottle.

  • Pale lemon color in the glass. Pronounced nose of butter, almonds, pears and smoke.

On the palate this dry wine had an intense flavor of stewed pears, butter and almonds, with a touch of oak in the background and a long finish.
