At PnP there was a bit of funky aroma. We let the glasses with wine, and the drawn-down bottle sit for 15 minutes to slo-ox. The nose blossomed into lots of dark red fruit (black cherry). The medium to plus bodied palate repeated this dark red fruit, along with some earth and tobacco notes, and a touch of cocoa. The acidity was juicy but balancing, and the medium plus finish was smooth, and "fruity sweet". In fact, the last sips of this wine - about two hours after opening - were the most integrated, smooth and enjoyable of all. I would recommend at least a one hour decant to get the best this wine has to offer, and believe it can be held in the cellar at least another couple of years.

Yummy, almost 10 year Artesa Club Member and this is one of my favorite reds from them. Lot of flavor, great nose, bottle has been open an hour and I’m trying to. Nurse it so I don’t quickly finish it. I’ll try to save a pour & try tomorrow... no promises...good thing I have 2 more
