Tart dark fruit and pencil lead on the nose. Dark sweet fruit on the palate intertwined with pleasingly dry tannins. This wine's substance, complexity and longevity greatly surpass its modest price point. If stored properly, this wine has a handful of delicious years of life left. So glad I picked up several bottles. What a relative steal.

This wine has been in my cellar for 5 years having purchased two cases in the US for $13 per bottle. Visually it is the color of eggplant with a slight brown tint at the rim. About 4/5's of the cork is moist and stained. The nose yields nutmeg, faint brown sugar, dark cherry and dark plum. On the palate, moderately drying tannins, dark berries, sweet black licorice and tart black cherry. The finish is long for a wine of this price. Great quality to price ratio. I am so glad I purchased 2 cases and have a couple of bottles left. It has been interesting watching this over performing wine evolve over the last 5 years. I recommend drinking over the next two years.
