This was my first experience with a Beaujolais Nouveau. The first evening I tried it, the nose was very candy like, as it was on the palate, big juicy bubble gum, cherry jelly beans, very Tutti frutti. My first evening trying it, I wasn't really sure if I like it or not. Trying it the second evening was a big surprise, what a difference! Gone was the big candy tutti fruitti profile, it was drinking much more like a young Burgundy. Very nice metamorphosis indeed.

Vibrant red-purple with magenta highlights. Nose of Bazooka gum, strawberry jelly beans, red Nehi, and a bit of marzipan. Soft and plush in the mouth with fluffy berry compote on the palate and a slight acidic backbone and even a bit of tannic structure on the finish. A solid Beujolais Nouveau from a serious négociant. Arrived too late for Thanksgiving dinner, but would have been a nice complement. Drink now (as if you hadn't figured *that* out).

A nice, bright ruby red, the nose opens with candied strawberry and slight piney notes. There is also a little herbal candy-like notes, something like a cherry Ricola. Medium-bodied and fresh, strawberry jelly beans, along with an inky, dark berry flavor that I can't identify. The finish is short, and much like the palate. I'm not at all disappointed with this purchase.

Nose is sweet candied fruit, think Runts, also hints of banana. Flavor is sweet red fruit with a medium length tart finish.
