Bought at winery in April ‘23. Consumed at U Omakase on Nov 26. One of the most unique bottles I’ve ever consumed. Maybe it’s not what’s supposed to happen but there’s an intense blue cheese and Parmesan thing going on that went up and down in waves depending on the food pairing. Some minty flavors emerged after about 45 mins to an hour. Over the few hours we drank it, the citrusy flavors revealed themselves and then faded pretty quickly, and a fig and stewed berry flavor came and went. Overall it was intense and unique. Certainly not perfect, but interesting and good with a varied food menu.

Second or third time I've opened an 08 or 09 Argetsinger Riesling to find it bad; corks clearly did not hold up. I was looking forward to enjoying it with Thanksgiving dinner. Stored in the same conditions as an inexpensive NZ SB that I opened the same day: it was still fine. Disappointing.

Popped and poured. Intense lemon aroma. Smooth, rich flavor of lemon and apricot. Some lemon peel in the mid palate leads to a tart, full citrus and mineral finish. Elegant, bracing acid, good weight and pleasant mouth feel, some complexity. Great vineyard and an excellent wine in its prime.

Cork was hard to remove and turns out the bottle, despite being properly stored, was oxidized. Very disappointing.
