  • This is a great value malbec. I found the bottles too hot for my taste. I am going to let that settle for a year before I open up another.

  • I do like Malbec alot, but this one just did not cut it to my expectations. We had a glass last night with a great dinner (rib eye steak... mmmm....) and nice argentinian side dishes. But, for the wine- The wine looks red-Inky colored, it is full bodied, but the taste is abit on the 'dead' side... slight vine grate and I actually asked to see the bottle to double check it is not defected. I am not sure where to put the finger, but it did not work. The taste did not open, and the palate... well, just did not cut it for me. Last time we had in the same restaurant a 2010 Bramare Vina Cobos that we really really liked, and that may have affected our view. But, overall- sorry, not a good return for the money. 78-81 pts.

  • N: black cherries and plums. Hints of lavender and vanilla. A little earthy reminiscent of
    Bordeaux style.
P: uniquely distinct from other Malbecs. Smoky plums and chocolate. Wine making style apparent on nose and palate. Well integrated, complex, and layered. This will age so well but is drinkable now. Wait if possible. Will definitely improve with time. Will Love this if you like old world style.

  • color: medium-dark purple; nose: earthy, barnyard, oak; taste: medium-bodied weight, bright & deep plum jam taste, medium-length rounded finish which tastes of black pepper and licorice; overall: easy-to-like, better-than-ordinary, New World fruity pour which benefits from several hours of aeration and would pair well with grilled burgers, chicken thighs, or pork tenderloin, decent QPR at $13/bottle and a buy-a-bunch steal if you can find it at $10
