Perfumed nose but sadly a little past it’s prime, no longer balanced, just tertiary notes left of tobacco and bacon on palate. Still enjoyable but was probably at its peak 5-8 years ago. Edit: pumped the air out and re-opened 2 days later, notes of confit red fruit and tomato sauce.

This is why I love great red Burgund wines. Great nose with tobaco, chocolate, dried red fruit, acidity and tanins pleasantly present. Truly great wine. it is a fight between only wanting to put your nose in or drinking..... Drank March 14, 2020

Popped and poured. 6th and best bottle from a 6-pack purchased at auction middle of last year. Lots of black fruit aromas with some liqueur hints. The most fresh bottle on both nose and palate. Black cherry and blackberry flavors are fleshy, dense and well concentrated with good overall structure and balance. At a very good place now, good for probably another decade. Best 15-30 minutes after opened, less exciting 2 hours later.

Fresh black fruit aromas with a hint of liqueur. Also fresh flavors with some meaty, sauvage character and dense spice. The best bottle of the six-pack I've been working through the past few months. Very good.

Drank with wild mushrooms risotto. Delicious. Last bottle ;-(
The wine looks brick colored. There is moderate sediment in the bottle.
