14.4% alcohol. Classic Saralee's, which has become a touch richer over time. Light bricking at the edge of the glass, with a lovely nose of red cherry, flowers, and baking spice. In the mouth, smooth, slightly voluptuous, and packed with red cherry, spice, mineral, and floral notes. A touch of orange sneaks in, which appears in this instance to come from the Clone 37 (see companion note). Beautiful stuff. A-

This is a beautiful wine still, elegant and light on its feet despite 14.4%.

Holding up still has primary fruit characteristics and structure but does not seem to have much aging potential.

Quite nice Pinot from RRV. Nice acidity, gorgeous tannins, drink now through 2018.
