  • When I wrote my note for the 1924 Gelas Armagnac I realized that I can't withhold you my experience
with the 1811 Cognac of Bisquit-Dubouché; a bottle I have bought in the era of the guilder (before 2001).
I have enjoyed this cognac with several friend as a finish of an evening with lots of funny wines
(e.g. Flame Lilly from Rhodesia, red sparkling Russian wine). Fortunately I saved a quarter to enjoy
    the months after.
I suppose this cognac has been bottled in the second part of the 19th century. It still had loads of tannins, a medium,
somewhat green colour and a non-polished nose and taste; so quite a masculin brandy, but fantastic and pure.
If you find a bottle in the supermarket, just buy it, because it will survive another century.
Imagine that men and women born in the 18th century have harvested the grapes for this cognac.
Maybe, I also have to write about the sensational tasting of the 1789 Madeira Cama do Lobos, but that was already in 1987!
