Wow, this was very good for an under $10 wine! A little on the light side for Bordeaux but nicely structured tannins underlying black fruit. Pomegranate shows up on the midpalate. A much longer finish than any cheap wine should hope for. Other than the fruit, I tasted none of the descriptors of the WS review. Not the most complex wine but not as simple as one expects a cheap wine to be.
