A good showing for this Premier Cru Meursault, which I found to be very much in balance and drinking well. Modest buttery notes and a touch of oak. Very straightforward. No rush from what I could discern.

From a pristine bottle, this wine had a light yellow color and clear rims. The medium intensity nose featured citrus, white stones, and some baguette.
In the mouth, this wine was pretty nice to start but certainly benefited from multiple hours in a decanter. It was well crafted and well balanced with crisp acidity and a long finish.
While this didn't have the grandeur of a well made Grand Cru, it was certainly a well made wine and an enjoyable drink. While don't think too many people will be thinking of lying this down, it will certainly hold, and may well gain, in the bottle for at least a decade.

Favorite of 5 Meursaults opened last night. Fabulous nose of apple pie and lemon. Rich flavor, excellent balance. Medium-long finish.

Buttered toast, slight oak, and great mineral finish. Crisp enough to notice, but not overly acidic.
