2009 International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) Passport to Pinot (McMinnville, OR): Funky, very green on the nose.. broccoli, but all in a good way, no doubt about that. Nice clean, resolved fruit on the mid-palate. Tasty, and lingering on the finish. Tasting in its prime; some tannins lingering, but I wouldn't hesitate to drink it today. There's this interesting green streak running through it that's nice, and I don't mean green as in under ripe, but vegital. Definitely prefer drinking these old wines to the tight newer ones today.
