  • This bottle was purchased from St.-Emilion during our trip to Bordeaux in 2016. 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc.
Nose is open and expressive with black currant. Full-bodied, but not heavy, nice fruit with ripe black currant and soft tannins. Very enjoyable and matched perfectly with peppery tarragon chicken.

  • Deep ruby with garnet ring.
Med+ intensity on the nose, tobacco, salted plum (huamei),Parma prosciutto, clove, nutmeg, toast, star anise, red cherry, developing.
Dry, med+ acidity, med+ tannin, high alcohol, med+ intensity, very savoury on the palate, red fruit notes dominant resulted from Merlot. Drinking smoothly with silky tannin, med+ body, med+ finish. drink at its peak.

We visited Chateau Guadet’s cellar and it’s wine shop located in St-Emillion in 2019 in a wine tour. The Chateau is very small and has no cellar door at all. The owner guided us to their underground cellar with piles of dusty wines dates back to a few decades ago. They also has a small bottle shop in the town centre and offered us to try several vintages. Very interesting tour and we bought a 2015 vintage back to Australia and store it in our cellers. We are so excited to see 2010 vintage of Chateau Guadet is available in China and we bought a bottle to refresh our memeory of this wine. This bottle is very good and drink at its peak. Love it! It’s good to try a bottle that is ready while we are waiting for the 2015 vintage.

  • Nose is really open and expressive and color is deep red and beautiful. Deep brambly plummy rich fruit with silky mouthfeel but still some great grainy tannins. Hints of sweet tobacco and xmas spice perfumes and some light kiss of vanilla chocolate.
Fullbodied and concentrated but not overpowering extract. Great balance. Wish I had more.

  • Concentrated, rich red and black currant fruit, some light cocoa flowery overtones and a tiny bit of english christmas cake. In the mouth its focused, high density fruit with medium energy. great tannic structure and backbone. Slightly muted right now, but approachable for sure. Will enjoy this more in 2020-2022. Solid.
