  Delicious wine. Red fruit, dsrk fruits, chocolate notes and some tannins. Great with beef, chicken, baked potatoes and on its own. Drink now.

  Tasty but still tannic. Some good, red fruit, black and lots of fine, oak tannins. Delicious with our grilled steaks from Lima Vineyards. Quite a youthful wine still.

  This cab blend is starting to strut its stuff now. Despite the early Napa reports for this grand vintage, the 2007’s have been “in your face” out of bottle in early stages. They’re starting to mature and drink very well now. This Derenoncourt Blend should still be blossoming over the next decade, and possibly earn 2-3 more points as it matures.

  Still needs time. Wonderful aromas of fresh dark fruit, yet has astringency that I normally taste in too-young wine; tannins are currently offering an unpolished texture on the tongue and haven't integrated nearly enough. With Derenoncourt's history, I trust another year+ and a couple hours decant might bring it around.

  Nice balance right out of the bottle. Fresh, strong bouquet with integrated tannins...just chewy enough to add character. Every ten minutes, this wine is developing. I wonder how it would have tasted if it had been decanted for an hour before dinner? I may have underated this one; we'll report those results at the next pouring. Should be 92+ when properly served. Stephan Derenoncourt is living up to his reputation with this offer.
