Candied apricot, orange marmalade, m+ acid, viscous, oily, dense and sweet(of course) but somehow still almost weightless on the palate. Really beautiful wine.

Spring Swing Through France-Random Wines Tasted or Imbibed; 4/14/2018-4/25/2018 (Burgundy, Alsace, Paris): Medium yellow. Petrol and botrytis tones. Medium weight, peach and apricot, very good acidity (better than in the regular Frederic Emile bottling from ths year as I recall). Excellent length, pretty subdued sweetness for an SGN wine, but this Trimbach after all. Interesting, excellent, and should handle another 5 years in bottle with ease.

Nose of honey suckle and sweet white fruits. Palate has white fruit, honey, lychee and touch of boytris. For an SGN, this was surprisingly dry. Medium length finish. Nice wine, but finish a bit bitter; dropped it a point or two for how the wine ends.

Vecchia Roma. Sweet enough for after dinner but only just. Rich in flavor but not viscous and still light in feel. Good acidity and great balance. A grown-up wine experience.

Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful nose of Apples, minerals, petrol, lechee nut of a beautiful frame. Very well balance and actually picked up weight when I re-visited and hour or so latter.
