Agree with most other TNs posted. This is a solid, interesting wine in and of the syrah/petite verdot blend. I'd drink this sooner rather than later because i don't see it developing much more.

Red to dark red on the eyes. Wonderful nose of fresh produce, black currant, and strawberries. Great balance w a fruity finish. Tannins pronounced in true Spanish tradition.

Herbal, dusty blackberry, coffee, black Kirsh; tar, old leather, extracted with a cool slight bitter finish; grainy full tannins. This has stuffing, is complex, and has great character. Excellent quality. From the Pago Valdepusa--1st of the single estate Pago wines in Spain. 70% Syrah, 30% Petit Verdot.

Upfront Petite Verdot but with some structure and tightness. On day two. Fairly interesting all told.

Modern, chewy, grainy, maybe a little overripe. I like the herbal and graphite qualities here, but there's an almost complete lack of freshness to it.
