Vincent Girardin in the morning.: 25% new oak. no lees stirring. 2009 was a warm and challenging vintage. a rounder and softer aroma. complexity. acid, body, chantilly, mineral. see duck, lobster.

Burgundy Fest 1.0 (Waterford Wine Co., Milwaukee): In General, Girardin is going Bio-dynamic with their vineyards. They had Premature Oxidation problems in the 90s, but are since back to solid performance. Less oak here than the previous wine, Girardin Chassagne 09 VV Blanc, which already was pretty tame on the oak expression. Clean and linear, with a presence of acid as a spark in the aroma. Soft vanilla, medium plus finish and lingering cream.
