  Deep dark, lighter rim.
  Briary fragrance, cassis, herbal spice. Clean and bright.
  Medium weight, silky, refined. Has good acidity and length. A lovely blend of cassis and dried herbs, cedary, sweet sherbety black fruits. Classic Quintet profile. Fine furry tannins. Delicious.

  Ruby red core with a light rim, no sign of bricking.
  Delicious mulberry and tobacco leaf, red berries, deeply fragrant. Trademark profile, light and ethereal, gorgeous.
  Silky smooth, soft with Pinot-like delicacy. Pure red and black berries, boysenberry, tobacco leaf, sherbet, subtle hints of graphite and cedar. Nice acidity, finishing with soft tannins, delicate but with great flavour persistence. Delicious drinking, nice complexity without appearing old and over-developed, primarily fruit-driven. I probably had my first one of this vintage 20 years ago and the flavour profile remains constant. Plenty of wines that start with much greater intensity fade much faster than this is. A cracker.
