  • Not rated, the bottle was over the hill and dead. If you have any, drink up.

  • Beautiful wine even though this style is not my favorite. Dark color and powerful fruity smell. Plums, black berries, acetone. Nail polish remover my wife said, spices in a variety. This type of wine is in a league that I normally don't favor. But this one had a lot of backbone, even though it was in the fruity section. Needs some good beef to go with it.

  • Not much has faded, still surprisingly good.

  • Color: dark red with some edges of purple
Nose: even balance of dark and blue fruit, maybe plums, blueberries and earthy barnyard. To me, it was a perfect balance of smells, no fruit bomb and not pure barnyard stink either
Flavor: full mouth feel, silky smooth tannins and all the fruit and earth that the nose led with. Medium long finish, that just made me close my eyes to experience it all

  • Popped and poured. Medium-plus garnet with, slight bricking on the rim. Pronounced aromas of plum, burning embers, brown sugar, framed by a touch of funk from brett. Medium body, tannins have smoothed over for the most part. Vibrant and lively palate, this wine has a great core of plum, dried red fruits (cranberry even), an earthy mineral back and a note of fresh cedar that is truly distinctive and quite compelling. Moderate-plus finish, as noted the tannins have mostly integrated.
Frankly, this exceeded expectations and with regards to the aging potential of Washington Merlot provided an eye-opening experience.
