Held up to the test of time amazingly well. Found this loner deep in my cellar and expected a disappointing bricked pour. I shouldn’t have been so surprised, because Riojas age so majestically. Still had plenty of fruit and purple hues - no brick color whatsoever and plenty of fruit and floral notes. Pulled from the cellar at 59 degrees and it was a super PnP. Loved it with a hot honey and butter pork tenderloin. We will see how the remaining 1/2 bottle is tomorrow, after 24 hours recorked. Might not have the depth to make it that long…sure hope so!

Turned out to be a very enjoyable wine. Very dark, almost inky. Dark fruit and long finish. Aged well. Enjoyed with Carol's home made italian. Excellent. Cork sealed very well.

So far past prime this was undrinkable. Bit surprised given the origin and other recent reviews. Perhaps a faulty cork.

Opened fruity and sharp. Slowly became thin with plenty of acid and minimal tannins. Don’t hold this one.
