Tasted over 3 hrs -med dark red purple tinge minimal bricking -low key dark perfumed pinot fruit fragrant oak -med acidity, med/med- weight focused if not very complex sweet earthy dark pinot fruit with a kiss of sweet oak that adds some to the med tannic structure -very nice now in a subdued fashion, still very much on its prime drinking plateau

A glowing ruby red. Some slight signs of age. Nice transparency. Immediately after opening the nose was a bit green and closed but opened quickly and was really singing after about an hour. Ripe and floral red fruits, strawberry and cherry. Summer red berries. Violets. Some secondary notes developing with a touch of brown spice but very fruit and floral driven nose. Lovely. Palate is very well integrated with ripe and sweet red fruits and fine but ripe tannins. Texture is soft and enveloping with great lightness. Good detail and minerality. Balanced acidity that is still quite high. I’m impressed with this ans will get more. In a really lovely spot and drinking well above the village level.

Really nice. All the classic notes are there, in the bouquet and on the palate. Way better than you could reasonably expect below 1’er cru. Proof to Serafin but also to 2010, which is a wonderful vintage.

Dinner at Huat Kee. Light garnet. Bouquet of red fruits and cherries. Initially quite tart with a hint of oakiness. Became more balanced with decant and more air. Overall a delicate, light bodied wine that paired well with lightly flavored Chinese cuisine.

Dinner at Bistro du Vin, Kennedy HK. Light ruby. Delicate, light bodied. Already drinking well with a smooth silky texture and soft rounded tannins. Well balanced with sweet ripe fruit, moderate acidity. A food friendly wine and a great effort for the entry level Gevrey-Chambertin.
