Medium ruby. Dry with medium acidity, medium fine tannins and body. Sandalwood, vanilla toast aromas with dried cherries. On the palate red cherries and currants. Not too complex. Balanced with a medium finish. Good value wine.

Have to agree with Baylinboy's review from 2014. This wine was well-rounded, smooth and silky, with strong berry and vanilla flavors. We drink it on its own with some friends, but it would have paired with any sort of red meat from hamburgers to steaks and been able to hold its own and complement that food extremely well. I think it would also go well with pork, and possibly even chicken. An absolute gem of a find at $13 US.

excellent QPR for a CDR on this. medium body, light ruby hues, great red-fruit nose and nice round mouthfeel with herby-tannins. nice - worked great with rib-eye and grilled vegetables

For the price, this is very good cote du rhone. I would personally pay alittle extra for cuvee cepage or la ponce. But for $12.95 aussie dollar, Great value. Nose of red fruits, distictive orange peel, tropical fruit even though this is red wine. On the palate, Medium bodied, clean and highly apealing. Light powdery tannins, getting tropical fruits and orange peel, red fruits, undertones of medicinal herbs. Very glugable and easy drinking. I could drink gallons of this. Nothing complicating. I would drink while fruits are still there, so drink within a year. I really wanna take this to BYO Thai restaurants. I think it will make Fantastic bistro wine!
