Fine effort. Still holding firm tannins, and has a somewhat strong nose of alcohol at first. Alcohol aside, this is drinking well. The fruit is really expressing itself with firm tannins holding up the structure for a nice finish. Glad I opened it now, as I'm not sure its going to get much better; then again, it has the tannins to hold up 2-3m more years easy.

After giving this a couple of hours it opened, but the flavors never really blossomed. This is definitely a denser style than most of the Rhone Ranger syrahs. Two years from now, maybe 3 or 4 points higher.
