Pleasant surprise. Bought 2 bottles on recommendation and tasted the first shortly after purchase...Not terribly impressive (probably in the mid-70's). Surprisingly, this bottle is much better. Nose is restrained, but shows some red fruit with graphite and schist. On the palate, it's well balanced, with soft, dusty tannins. Bright red fruit and crushed rock, transitioning to a nice floral (rose) note. For an inexpensive bottle and a bizarre blend, this is quite pleasant.
