The side projects certainly fall off the pace relative to the cab and the shiraz. Light, savoury, linear, quite realistic but lacking depth. Drink now.

{screwcap, 14%, A$14} CHeerful enough cherry-scented wine which avoids 'fruit-bombness' but without really conveying the fruity/savoury nature of the grape. It's dry, with soft gritty tannins, no oak to speak of, some acid cut, but the barely-medium bodied cherried fruit flavours fall away to a modest-length finish. I think other vintages of this have had more character and interest to them. Drink this up soonish.

A bit uneventful really. Dry, slightly herbal and rustic, but a real lack of overt fruit power, varietal characteristics notwithstanding. Drink now.
