Showing lots of Petit Verdot character. Dried flowers, pencil lead, cocoa dust. Dry, fine tannins, hints of oak, complex, mid+ body, vert smooth. Still could hold a few years. Interesting

Lovely soft red fruit, bloody iodine, roses and white pepper on the nose. Still a little rough around the edges on the palate, but nice stuffing to it with some big brawny red and black fruit and still quite prominent tannins. Very good with steak tips, in fact better than without food. Still many good years ahead of it, but not sure about improvement.

Promising nose of coffee, blackberry fruit and earth. Very tannic and astrigent on the palate - either all the fruit is gone, or this has shut down hard. I'm guessing the fruit has gone. Not a lot of pleasure. After vacuvin seal and three days on the kitchen counter, this actually has improved. More muted nose, but much more dark black fruit and coffee showing up on the palate, tannins softened considerably. I'm not sure this is ever going to be a block buster, but I won't open my other bottle for many years.

I've been waiting a long time and with a lot of excitement for this one. Unfortunately it is way past it's prime. Okay up front fruit finishing medicinal and woody.
