This full bodied petite Sirah has evolved to a dark berry medley that has hints of dark chocolates & stewed black cherries. Ripe with now moderate tannins that have resolved a bit and high alcohol that is knitting in nicely, just a slight frayed end.

Deep ruby color with aromas of black fruits, blackberry, black cherry, stewed blueberry, stony minerality peaking thru. On the palate juicy black cherry, blackberries, menthol and dark chocolate, ripe tannins on the slightly hot finish.

We love Zichichi wines and their Petite Sirah is always wonderful. This was rich, full bodied and well balanced. There was lots of dark fruit and spice and some nice well controlled tannins. This was easily the best bottle of the evening and we were drinking some nice and pricy wines. We didn't think it was hot, either in nose or flavor. Not a fruit bomb like the St. Anne's Crossing zin, much more controlled and balanced. Wonderful bottle of wine.

Friday Afternoon at Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage - Chicago, IL): Label reads 14.9% and I tasted every bit of it. Nearly undrinkable for me.
