Late night at home. Bottle from Asparagus. Drank in Grassl Cru. Less primary than bottle tasted 4 years ago. Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of nice red fruits, fresh earth getting a bit cheesy and then sexy earth with more air., minerals. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), still good structured medium+ tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, red plums, dark spices, minerals, earth. Long finish. Very good quality. Starting to drink well.

Had this over two nights, the first night was tighter and on the second it was fuller and more robust (pouring half the bottle into a 375ml and corking it for the next night). That seems to be in sync with other tasters who felt it wasn’t ready
It does not evoke Chambolle, but is a quite enjoyable, with dark cherry and cranberry fruit, plus minerals and a saline streak in the finish.

Classic lighter red almost medium rose coloured. Closed nose still but hints of woodland that is replicated on the attack. Med low acidity, super length and waves of mineral and fruit make this very attractive. Not sure I would wait five years but equally no rush.

This is always a very slow cuvée to open, but as I have a good stock of it, I decided to drop in on a bottle. Still quite closed and fruit is very primary. There's promise here, but this is not a pleasure to drink at this time. Wait five years at least. Cellared since original release.

A very pretty wine that is drinking beautifully right now. Crunchy fruit, good acid. Perhaps on the darker spectrum for Chambolle.
