Good structure, sappy dark fruit, and good clarity. Drinking well but still very early in its long drinking window. A classy Cote de Beaune that has no rustiness.

Corton(-Charlemagne) study (Chicago, IL): Outstanding. Like so many 2010s, just not shut down. This is expressive and juicy, with a lovely mix of red and black fruit. It's definitely got some serious structure underpinning all the voluptuous fruit here, but that's all hidden away by just this exuberant juiciness. I love the layered textures and flavours here, and there's no doubt that this is a wine that will easily go for a long time more.

A wonderful match for FA's fish in a red wine reduction sauce (Eric Ripert recipe)

Complex, but a bit closed. More rustic animal notes than expected.

Expresses the uniqueness of Corton: the intensity of a cote de nuits wrapped inside the velvet of a cote de Beaune.
