In good shape. Excellent village wine. Lots of cove on the nose. Sour cherries in the mouth. Still great acidity. Bought for $40 10 years ago. Hard to find values in Burgundy these days.

Served blind Garnet colored Earthy cranberry flavors with some wood Rather rustic at first, I guessed Fixin, But then more spice and opened up with a half hour of air. YFS

Medium garnet, with a tinge of purple. Looked young. Lovely nose, at this Gevrey-Chambertin tasting, all the noses were lovely, just differing in nuance. The palate was a bit out of balance, very fruity, but plenty of backbone, so another couple of years should smooth it out. Long, pleasant finish. Good, upper level village wine.

Smoke and barnyard. Lithe, soft with a note of clove. Elegant.

Tasting at Phillipe Lecler Champagne winery, Gevrey-Chambertin, Franc: Lots of terroir, earth. Cherries. Needs 3 more years.
