Briefly: luminous ruby robe in the glass. Voluminous nose, some oak, rosehip, pomegranate. Iron filings, rose hip jelly, and the purest wild raspberry fruit you ever tasted. Lots to come, but boy howdy!

Still a bit too much toasty oak showing on the nose for me, but the palate is in a very nice spot, with some red fruit and forest floor in a lively and elegant package.

PnP’ed and consumed over 3+ hours, it opened up after half an hour in the glass. On the nose, medium+ intensity of red cherry, red plum, rose, orange peel, mushroom, and forest floor. Medium+ acidity, smooth, medium silky grippy tannins, and medium+ earthy finish. Amazing producer and vintage, this is still so young and likely a few years away from its zenith.

Decanted for 30 minutes, but it could have used 2 hours of air at least. Structured wine with a firm backbone. It required significant coaxing in the glass to open up its pure high toned red fruit (pomegranate, cranberry, raspberry) and was more mineral driven than fruit driven. Grippy finish. This is a wonderful wine, but it needs a minimum of another 5 years to open up.

Tasted over 2 hrs -nearly semi-translucent med red minimal clearing at edge -low key dark register ripe plum warm earth -med acidity pokes in at the finish, med weight sappy gum drop black raspberry black cherry plum faint oak finally opens up after 2 hrs, med tannins -nicely ripe dark fruited perhaps still a bit early to fully blossom
