This has aged well. A very nice 20 year old Burgundy still very alive. Not a very complex wine but a tasty, fruity Pinot from Givry. Better than I expected.

Impressive for its appellation, and a very good wine, period. Compact, solid and many years ahead of it, at least from this cellar. Label has no reference to Thenard, but has “L540”

Good, solid burgundy hitting enough of the classic notes to be satisfying without having any major complexity to pull the score up any higher. Interesting colour, reasonable structure, reasonable fruits, very pleasant all-round. Drinking well enough now, but will not last much longer so drink up quickly. Doesn't need decanting; twenty minutes or so in the bottle while finishing whatever you're cooking is enough.

Decanted for 2 hours. Brick red with brown rims. Very restrained nose. Slightly tart in the mouth with minute notes of strawberries. This is past its' prime.
