  Dark ruby core, garnet rim. Clean, with aromas and flavours of ripe blackberries and plums, subtle oak; spicy and mildly balsamic, with a sensation of sweetness (but fully dry). Medium body, moderately acidic, high level of smooth tannins, alcohol seems higher than the declared 13.5%. Long, and reasonably complex. Really good at first pour; did not improve noticeably with air/time.
