  • Awesome wine from Chile. The blend is so closed to the best Bordeaux wines at an affordable price. Ruby color and long legs. Nose berries, red cherries and wood. Palate gives also dry fruits, cedar and smooth metal taste. The tannins are so smooth that leave a long and pleasant after taste. Chosen to accompanied a beef in oven with onions and potatoes with melted cheese. Perfect combination. 2009 vintage ready to drink.

  • this was drank alongside the Mascot from the same vintage and it seemed much more evolved and ready to drink compared to the latter. Dark ruby-purple colour. Dark berries, chocolate, sweet spices and a green element on the rather evolved nose. Medium-bodied with silky tannins and balancing acidity. Nicely balanced and long. Very enjoyable at this stage.

  • First Big Wine night of 2015 (Extra Space): Tasted blind. Aired in decanter for an hour+.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of cedarwood, green herbs and capsicums, licorice, and blackcurrant. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol, grippy high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of cedar, green capsicums, licorice, blackcurrant, blackberry, dark plum. Long finish.
I guessed a young Chilean Bordeaux blend.
Very good quality. Big and young now. Needs another 5 years to develop.
I didn't like the green thing going on though.
80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.
